TARA FARMER, MS, LPC, CSW Are you tired of your ANXIETY or OCD interfering with your life? Are intrusive thoughts, chronic doubt, and overwhelming fears something you can relate to? It is exhausting. I have a passion for working with some of the toughest themes of anxiety and OCD. I can help you develop effective strategies that create lasting change so these symptoms and life stressors do not continue to dictate your day. Together, we can create ways to cope so that you can be present in your life and work towards what is important. Imagine what it would be like if your anxiety was not so powerful? Do not wait any longer to feel better. It is time to take that first step towards recovery! Let's go!!!
I offer Exposure and Response Prevention treatment (ERP), the most effective, evidence based therapy treatment thus far for anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder. When you learn to face your triggers without safety behaviors, meaningful and lasting change can occur. Leaning into uncertainty takes courage and yet is necessary to take down anxiety. I will be alongside to help you through the hard. I love working with teens, adults, and parents who struggle with anxiety and OCD (check out my page Treatment for Perinatal Anxiety and OCD page for more information). Lastly, I believe the counseling relationship needs to be one of strength, transparency, and genuineness. Research shows that a third of the progress in treatment is dependent on the relationship between client and the therapist. I often have clients tell me they appreciate my humor and ability to connect! It is so important! Tara will be seeing clients primarily in the Onalaska office. LIZ STINE, MS, LPC Are fears, worries and intrusive thoughts ruining important aspects of your life? What if you could experience less anxiety, feel more confident, and be able to approach your day with more resilience. Sometimes stress, repetitive and exhausting thoughts, or painful life events create unhelpful patterns in our lives and can sabotage our relationships with ourselves and others. I help people identify and cope with intrusive thoughts, overwhelming worries, and constant second-guessing. I can offer you tools to learn how to face fearful thoughts, transform self-doubt, and approach daily situations that feel scary. Learning how to understand your thoughts, feelings, and triggers can be life-changing and incredibly meaningful.
I also love working with athletes. Striving to be our best physical self can be rewarding and can also take mental, physical, and emotional tolls. If you’d like improved self-talk, better sleep habits, or event-day confidence, we can work on that together. If you are experiencing an injury and are frustrated and impatient dealing with curve balls you didn't expect, let's talk. Improving your mental health as an athlete or someone who is active is so important. I'd love to help you get to a place where you can feel proud of yourself for what you've accomplished. I am confident you can make meaningful changes in your life and I welcome any questions you have. Cultural humility, inclusivity and openness to your unique lived experiences are of great importance in my approach with you. I look forward to seeing you for in-person or virtual sessions. Liz will be seeing clients in both La Crosse and Onalaska offices.
