OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) occurs when an individual experiences intrusive obsessions and compulsive behaviors. Obsessions include unwanted thoughts, images, impulses, or fears that cause considerable discomfort and are difficult to dismiss. Compulsions are the behaviors, which often includes thoughts, that people create in an effort to provide temporary relief of the obsessions. This cycle only negatively reinforces the OCD. However, there is hope!
